Thank you so much for your support and electing me as your next City Council member! I am honored and excited to serve our community on Grant City Council!
The hard work starts now! I am committed to keeping our community rural and maintaining an open and transparent government. Let’s do this!
Hi! I am Lindsay Cremona, and I am excited and hopeful for the opportunity to serve the community on the Grant City Council. Grant is a wonderful place to call home, and I’d like to preserve what makes it special.
My family and I moved to Grant after spending a grueling 3 years looking for the right place to live. We didn't want to live just anywhere. We wanted a place with community, rural roots, and country living. Grant is the perfect fit.
I am running for city council because I want to ensure that Grant remains the vibrant, diverse city that it is today. I hope to preserve the rural nature of Grant by maintaining the lot density size and continuing to keep water and sewer private. I would continue the efforts already made for higher internet speeds in Grant and would continue the efforts to keep the roads and community safe. I am committed to open governance and the free flow of information and ideas. I hope to keep Grant as a diverse community of farms, homesteads, small businesses, and open spaces that isn't a cookie-cutter place.
I am passionate about connecting our community. Grant is filled with talented artists, entrepreneurs, and other skills that I would love to see shared amongst the community. I would like to create a community event for our neighbors to highlight their art shows, businesses, and the like so we can support one another, all while coming together as one community. Of course, no tax dollars would or should be used to promote private interests.
It is also important that we have an open, transparent government that encourages citizen participation and input. The city council is here to serve its residents, and I would prioritize listening to our residents and opening a platform for our residents to be heard.
In addition, it would be a priority of mine to implement common sense road maintenance and safety.
I live in Grant with my husband, Matt, our three kids, and our dog, Pancake. I grew up in a small town where there was only one stoplight and when you went to the grocery store, you knew everyone there. I love small town life and want to sustain that way of living in Grant.
During the school year, I volunteer as a Den Leader for Cub Scouts Pack 9125, am a member of the elementary PTA, and served as PTA president for 2 years. I am an active volunteer with the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and have served on the Hard Hat Black Tie Gala committee for over 10 years.
I am a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and received a B.A. degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
I am a partner at a private law firm where I practice civil litigation, representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, enforcement of UCC and financial remedies rights, real estate matters, and fraud claims. I have been named a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for the past 6 years.
In my spare time, I make pottery, enjoy biking with my family, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and reading.
I would love to get to know you more. Please reach out and share with me what you'd like to see for Grant in the years to come.
